FREDONIA TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A teenager has escaped injury despite a high speed rollover in a Jeep Liberty.
Deputies say it happened just before 6 p.m. Saturday in Fredonia Township.
They say the 18-year-old was traveling on 15-1/2 Mile Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control heading southbound, left the roadway and overturned the Jeep in the ditch.
The teen from Marshall was able to climb out of the wreck on his own and was checked out by EMT’s at the scene.
Police say he was wearing his seatbelt.
The young driver was cited for failing to maintain control of his vehicle.
