GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO-AM) — Abigail Kopf is beginning to get out and have a little fun.
She got a furlough from Mary Free Bed Hospital and got a chance to ride a special bike and visit the John Ball Park Zoo in Grand Rapids on Friday.
The 14-year-old from Battle Creek is recovering from the wound she suffered during Kalamazoo’s February shooting spree, where six were left dead.
Kopf is scheduled to be discharged from the therapeutic center on Wednesday to continue her recovering at home. The second survivor of the rampage, 25-year-old Tiana Carruthers, is recovering at home.
