LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A drunken driver will face criminal charges after slamming a pickup truck into the side of a home in the 18000 block of South River Road near Three Rivers.
The driver went out of control at about 1:30 p.m. Friday and wound up parked in the home, badly damaging the building. The driver wasn’t hurt, but 74-year-old homeowner, Annie Duncan, who was there at the time, was emotionally shaken.
Duncan was in the kitchen when the pickup plowed into the bedroom of the home in Lockport Township.
Open alcohol was found in the cab.
The driver was booked into the St. Joseph County Jail. Charges are pending.
