KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Tiana Carruthers has scheduled her first public appearance since surviving multiple gunshot wounds.
Caruthers, 25, was the first shooting victim on Feb. 20, when Jason Dalton allegedly began a shooting spree that left six dead. While shielding four children, Caruthers had bones in both legs shattered by separate bullets and was hit once in the arm and in the liver.
Abigail Kopf, 14, suffered seriously injuries but also survived.
She will be supported by her medical team, family and local law enforcement during the media appearance on Thrusday.
