KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Construction is underway on a second Bronson Methodist Hospital “Fast Care” location on West Main Street near U.S. 131.
Director of Practice Operations Linda Hutchinson said the walk-in facility will tend to immediate needs.
“Urinary tract infections, upper-respiratory infections, common colds, mosquito bites, rashes — things like that,” Hutchinson said.
She said the flagship “Fast Care” at the Meijer on South Westnedge Avenue in Portage tends to be busy, averaging around 35 patients daily.
“They want to be seen by their primary care provider but it’s not always convenient for them,” Hutchinson said. “The emergency room can also be costly for patients, so this allow them another avenue of care.”
It’s slated to open in June.
