KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Sign-ups are underway for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s “One Walk” event in downtown Kalamazoo.
It’s scheduled for Oct. 8 at the Arcadia Creek Festival Place on East Kalamazoo Avenue.
Jillian Breneman is with the organization and says fundraising is encouraged, but not required.
“It’s just a time and a place for everybody to get together and support friends, family and coworkers living with type one diabetes,” Breneman said.
A kick-off event, which will include information about JDRF and the walk, is set for April 23 at the Airway Fun Center on Portage Road.
