KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Popular Michigan-based bar-and-grill HopCat is planning to open a location in downtown Kalamazoo.
Officials with the restaurant famous for serving up dozens of craft beers and crack fries say they’re going to pump $2 million into the vacant train depot on East Michigan Avenue, just footsteps from Bell’s Brewery and the Arcadia Brewing Company.
It’s part of the company’s plan to open 30 new locations throughout the Midwest. HopCat already has four locations in Michigan.
They’re planning to open this fall and opened their Facebook page earlier this week.
HopCat will share the building with a new sushi restaurant.
