BRANCH COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — A Batavia Township woman who allegedly offered her own developmentally disabled daughter to a prison inmate for sex has cut a deal with prosecutors.
Linda Allen Ehle, 48, was given three-to-seven years in prison after pleading no contest to a charge of using a computer to commit a crime. In exchange, two counts of child abuse were dismissed by the prosecutor.
Federal charges were also filed against 41-year-old Shane Scott, a former Branch County resident who was an inmate at the Ionia Correctional Facility. Authorities said intercepted communications between Ehle and Scott revealed they conspired to sexually assault the mentally and physically disabled female.
