THREE RIVERS (WKZO-AM) — A gun used to kill a Three Rivers man has been recovered from a Kalamazoo teenager, Michigan State Police said.
The body of Phillip Feek Jr. was found in the former home of his parents in Three Rivers roughly 10 months after he was shot to death, investigators said.
By then, suspected drug addicts had looted the place. Two of them are now in custody, charged with home invasion, vehicle theft and not reporting a dead body.
Steven Stoner, 53, and Tracy Scott, 37, are jailed in St. Joseph County.
The gun was recovered by Kalamazoo Public Safety from a juvenile who had tried to use it to shoot another teenager in February.
Police don’t know if Feek killed himself or was murdered, but they are trying to make that determination.
They say that Stoner and Scott were the last two people who saw Feek alive.
