KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The Walk to End Homelessness has found a new home in Kalamazoo.
This year, the fundraiser will begin and end at Homer Stryker Field.
Pledges raised by the participants in the 5K fundraiser will help fund Housing Resources Incorporated.
It’s currently believed that there are 1,200 to 1,300 homeless children in Kalamazoo County. They represent about 40 percent of the total number.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday. The walk-run will begin at 9 a.m.
The Kalamazoo Growlers baseball team will be sponsoring a “Fling into Spring” family event after everyone gets back.
