KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo County has formally confirmed their administrator has been put on paid leave.
Attorney Thom Canny said the county has a process for dealing with personnel matters, which is being followed. But it would have been impossible to tell from the motion Canny drafted that ultimately placed Terrence Neuzil on leave.
“I move that the Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners authorize labor counsel to implement the recommendation course of action that labor counsel outlined in written, privileged, attorney-client option dated (material drafted on) March 15, 2016, “Jeff Hepler, the board’s chairperson, said during the body’s meeting Tuesday night.
Sources say female employees have filed a discrimination complaint, which is being investigated.
