KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A Kalamazoo man who claims he was defending himself from an attacking dog has been charged for stabbing the dog with a samurai sword.
Gary Singer, 28, is free on bond.
Singer’s neighbors filed complaints with police that he stabbed the dog to death simply because it wandered in front of his apartment. They want Singer evicted.
Police say he plunged the weapon into the pit bull during some sort of altercation last week.
Singer has claimed through social media that he loves dogs, but this dog was being used as a weapon.
