KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — All Western Michigan University students will be asked to talk about sexual violence and what their experiences have been in a survey that will be released later this month.
WMU is one of 50 colleges around the country that will be participating in the Title IX Sexual Misconduct and Safety Survey. It will be conducted one year after the university instituted a new sexual misconduct policy that clearly spells out the way incidents are investigated and adjudicated.
The study is similar to one handed out at Michigan State University and the University of Michigan last year, but sponsored by a different organization.
The answers given by students will be confidential.
It will take about 15 minutes to fill out the online form, which will be available for three weeks beginning next Monday.
