PORTAGE (WKZO-AM) — Portage police have released more information about the shooting at a private rap party held at a banquet hall on Kilgore Road this weekend that lead to one of the musicians getting shot in the jaw.
Investigators say it was a birthday party organized for a Kalamazoo man and that the rap group “Shredgang” was hired to perform for the 250 guests. A member of that group, 22-year-old Albert “Boogz” Hill, was shot following some sort of argument.
Hill is still undergoing treatment at Bronson Methodist Hospital.
Police say the gunman remains at large. The investigation is ongoing.
