BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) — A suspect who is charged with shooting another man in the back in Battle Creek is sitting in a cell at the Calhoun County Corrections Center.
Investigators haven’t released the motive behind the shooting. or andy names.
All they have said is that it happened in the 3700 block of West Michigan Avenue at about 2:15 Saturday morning.
A witness told officers that they heard a single gunshot. Responding officers found the victim with a non-life threatening wound to the back.
They also were able to identify and arrest the suspect.
The victim was treated and released.
