ORLANDO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo Wings Head Coach Nick Bootland broke a team record over the weekend.
He became the first K-Wings coach to rack up 300 career wins after a 4-2 win over the Orlando Solar Bears in Florida on Saturday. The Wings are on a hot streak, the winners of five out of their last six.
He played 11 seasons for Kalamazoo. Bootland broke the organization’s all-time wins record in 2013.
