HOLLAND (WKZO-AM) — A former principal accused of sex crimes is heading to trial.
Jonathan Garcia supervised special education programs in Allegan, Martin and Otsego. He has waived his preliminary hearing in Allegan County District Court, and has been bound over for trial on 11 counts of criminal sexual misconduct.
Garcia was arrested after two female employees at Martin Public Schools complained about his alleged inappropriate sexual behavior.
Authorities say he is facing additional charges for a third victim. A preliminary hearing on those counts is set for next month.
Investigators say no children were involved.
