CALVIN TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Cass County Sheriff’s drug enforcement deputies say they discovered at least 20 one-pot methamphetamine labs, components used to make the drug, paraphernalia, marijuana and a loaded gun at a rural residence in the 17000 block of Brownsville Road in Calvin Township.
The search was prompted after drugs and drug-use devices were found in the vehicle of a suspected narcotics peddler during a traffic stop near Guyer and Union roads on Wednesday.
A search warrant served at the driver’s address turned up 13 one-pot labs in a pole barn, including one that was actively cooking. Another eight one-pot labs were found in a shed in a wooded area on the property.
The 34-year-old was arrested on a host of drug felonies. Deputies are still investigating the incident.
