TEKONSHA (WKZO-AM) — A 40-year-old New Jersey man is behind bars after leading law enforcement on a chase that started in Jackson County and ended in Calhoun County.
They say the driver bolted down M-60 at around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday after Michigan State Police arrived at the scene of an accident.
He avoided spike strips near Homer, but blew out three tires on spike strips in Tekonsha. The chase continued for several miles.
The vehicle coasted to a stop after getting cornered by officers Wednesday morning.
The man was arrested for fleeing and eluding and taken to a jail in Jackson County.
