KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The Kalamazoo Growlers will wear a jersey next season covered with emojis.
Emojis are the smiley face icons used on the Internet and in text messages to express emotion.
The unique baseball fashion statement will be on display when Kalamazoo plays the Rockford Rivets at home on Aug. 13.
The team is asking its fans to pick from a selection of about 100 icons, or to submit their own for display on the jerseys. The jersey only has room for about 25.
A random voter will win an “emojersey” and free tickets, while five others will get just the free tickets.
