VAN BUREN COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — A newspaper delivery man who had a blood-alcohol content that was over five times the legal limit has been arrested and charged with his fourth count of driving under the influence.
Deputy Brian Matthews with the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office stopped the man when he failed to stay out of an area of roadway that was temporary closed due to a previous accident last Thursday afternoon.
Matthews determined the 44-year-old man from Paw Paw was intoxicated and took him into custody.
Investigators discovered later just how drunk he actually was and that he had three previous arrests for drunk driving. They also found a number of empty beer cans in his car.
His name was not released.
