BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Police in Battle Creek are attempting to trace a phony bomb threat against Lakeview Middle School back to its source.
The threat was made through social media.
By the time it was discovered on Friday, students had already gone home. A professional development session for teachers had been scheduled for that day, and students were sent home at 11:10 a.m. The school was searched Friday afternoon, but no bomb was found.
Police are now saying the threat was just a prank. They’re still investigating the incident, however.
