BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — The daughter of a Battle Creek woman who was beaten with a hammer says her 45-year-old mother is recovering.
Cassindra Davis was attacked on Sunday and her husband, James, is charged with assault with intent to murder.
Erica Page is Davis’ daughter from a previous relationship and says her mother has moved, opened her eyes, and tried to speak — all things she says doctors warned she might never be able to do again.
Davis is hospitalized in Kalamazoo and has undergone at least one.
