BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A trio of accused thieves linked to at least three purse-snatchings and robberies in the Battle Creek area are jailed.
An Emmett Township officer was patrolling near the Meijer on B Drive South in Battle Creek when the call came in about a purse snatching in the parking lot after 6 p.m. Wednesday. The officer spotted the getaway car and pulled it over, calling for back-up to help arrest the three occupants.
They matched the description of the suspects in similar crimes committed at the Lakeview Square Mall and Pine Knoll Apartments. Evidence from those robberies were found in the suspect vehicle.
At least one person was injured during the first robbery.
The suspects being held at the Calhoun County Jail on multiple robbery charges.
