KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Testimony will continue Friday in the trial of an Emmett Township Public Safety officer charged with inappropriate sexual behavior with female relatives in both Calhoun and Kalamazoo counties.
Troy Estree is charged in Calhoun County with having an ongoing sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl in his family early last year. Prosecutors claim they had a number of sexual contacts in different locations over an eight-month period.
While Estree was awaiting trial on that charge, his 33-year-old niece filed a complaint that he had accosted her at a spa in Kalamazoo.
He will be tried in Kalamazoo on a first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge and two other counts in April.
Estree is on unpaid leave from his police job.
