HAGAR TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A Hagar Township man wanted for killing two people north of St. Joseph has been arrested in Colorado.
Michigan State Police say Alex Perez was found with his two daughters in his vehicle early Friday.
The children were the subjects of an Amber Alert issued at around 2 a.m.
Autopsies will be done in Grand Rapids to determine how exactly both people were killed, and it’s not clear how long the bodies had been in the home. The victims have not yet been named.
Both bodies were discovered late Thursday.
Investigators believe Perez was attempting to rush his daughters to California. Both girls are now in protective custody in Colorado.
