WEST MICHIGAN (WKZO-AM) — The weather out there is frightful, especially along the lakeshore in Van Buren, Allegan and Ottawa Counties where the Lake Effect has dropped up to nine inches of snow.
Kalamazoo has gotten about half a foot and drivers, if they are smart are taking it easy on slick roads
More snow is coming overnight Tuesday and Wednesday, and, with bitter cold temperatures, road surfaces may not improve much.
The conditions have caused a rash of slideoffs and traffic mishaps on area roadways.
Some of the worst how ever have occurred in Indiana where a number of chain reaction collisions have occurred.
No major injuries have been reported.
