SOUTHFIELD (WKZO-AM) — A law firm based in Southfield says three of the worst intersections for winter crashes in Michigan are located on the west side of the Kalamazoo metropolitan area.
Two of the intersections are on the same street, according to Michigan Auto Law.
The intersections were ranked based on the number of crashes caused by icy or slushy conditions over the past five years.
Stadium Drive and South 9th Street in Oshtemo Township was tied for third-worst with 56 crashes. Stadium Drive and Howard Street was close behind, tied for fifth-worst with 54 wrecks.
South Drake Road and West KL Avenue finished seventh. The location at the border with Oshtemo Township had 51 weather-related collisions over the studied period.
