GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) — The National Weather Service has issued Lake Effect snow advisories and warnings for all of west Michigan running through today and into this evening.
Temperatures dipped into the teens overnight. Snow fell from a system that came up from the southwest, and was followed by Lake Effect snow, powered by an Alberta Clipper which is expected to continue the Lake Effect today.
Whether you are hit depends on where the snow falls.
The lakeshore counties have been the hardest hit but substantial show has fallen further inland, making roads snow covered and slippery but not impassable.
There could be white outs if you run into a heavy band of lake effect today.
