UNDATED (WKZO) — The experts all agree, gas prices have dropped in the last week or two, and will continue to fall during the winter months.
They say demand goes down in the winter because it’s so much tougher to drive for one thing, and fewer people plan long trips.
National pollster Trilby Lundberg, Gas Buddy’s Patrick Dehaan and AAA’s Michael Green says prices dropped just enough to put a few extra pennies in your pocket this week. They say those pennies will add up to hundreds of dollars in savings by year’s end.
They also agree the primary reason for that will be low crude oil prices that seem to be stuck in low gear.
The say continued U.S. production is one factor. They also say that growing conflicts in the Middle East has fractured the old cartel, and they could soon be competing to sell oil.
AAA says Pump prices have gone down three cents on average in Michigan in the past week.
