KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity is putting together a team of 12 volunteers who will travel to Nicaragua in early April to build a home for a family in the Central American country.
The plan is to spend nine days there. Six days will be spent building and two days will be set aside for travel.
They’re looking for donations to cover the cost of travel expenses, about $1,650 per person plus airfare and incidentals. Subsidies may be available to defray the cost for current volunteers of the agency.
Those looking for additional details are being urged to call (269) 344-2443, ext. 206.
