KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — City commissioners in Kalamazoo will be asked Monday to add Sunday service to the Metro Connect transportation system, which is now provided to the county’s elderly and disabled.
The door-to-door public transportation service currently operates six days a week.
It’s the first of several service expansions promised when voters approved more cash for public transportation last fall.
If the agreement with the private contractor that provides the service is approved, the first scheduled Sunday service date would take place Feb. 7.
