KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The Kalamazoo City Commission is scheduled to receive the report of the Blue Ribbon Revenue Panel at their regular meeting this evening.
The task force was appointed to find a way to cover a multi-million dollar shortfall in the city of Kalamazoo’s budget projected to grow annually for the next few years.
The jury is still out on just how realistic their proposals are, and whether they would ever generate the millions the city needs. That will be up to city commissioners, and possibly voters, to ultimately decide, depending on what options they pursue.
