BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Little information is being released about a shooting in Battle Creek that led to a short pursuit and an arrest early Sunday.
Battle Creek police were close enough to the shooting to hear gunfire in the Washington Heights area, and gave chase to a vehicle they saw leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
After the chase chase, the driver stopped and was taken into custody.
The gun was later found. Investigators say the suspect tossed the weapon out the window during the pursuit.
They aren’t quite sure what the man was shooting at, and there have been no reports of any shooting victims.
