BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A Kalamazoo man, who was already wanted for a separate criminal offense, spent the weekend in the Calhoun County Jail after he was stopped for speeding on Interstate 94 late Friday afternoon.
The sheriff’s deputy thought the man was acting suspiciously and believed he caught the smell of marijuana coming from his car.
A quick computer check turned up an outstanding warrant. A search of his car not only led to the discovery of the drugs in question, but an unregistered hand gun.
The 30-year-old is being held for drug possession and several gun felonies.
