BARRY COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — A new police dog has joined the force in Barry County.
The Barry County Sheriff’s Office says Grizzly graduated K9 training a week ago. He was sworn in by county commissioners during a ceremony Tuesday.
During his first day on the job, Sheriff Dar Leaf says Grizzly helped lead a deputy to a possible suspect who was found hiding on the porch of an abandoned home.
That person was later detained and charged. Specifics about the crime were not given.
