HOPKINS TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Allegan County Sheriff’s deputies has arrested the driver suspected of causing a fatal Hopkins Township crash last Wednesday.
The woman, who has not been named as of yet, is currently free on bond after being arrested earlier this week on a felony charge of driving on a suspended license causing death. If found guilty, she could face up to 15 years in prison.
Her arraignement is set for next month.
Investigators say 58-year-old John Dolegowski was approaching 130th Avenue and 22nd Street when the woman ran a stop sign. Dolegowski was ejected from the vehicle and died after being rushed to a hospital.
Dolegowski was not wearing a seat belt.
The owner of the car the woman was driving has also been charged.
