BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — It will be a much merrier Christmas for a disabled Vietnam veteran, after his attempt to purchase a home in Battle Creek on a land contract fell through.
Levi Jenkins thought he lost the home, which was foreclosed, but the Calhoun County Land Bank Authority picked up the property will sell it to Jenkins for a dollar.
Jenkins says he’s planning renovations.
Jenkins not only served in the military, but served as a police officer, a private detective and trained security officers.
