KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A GoFundMe page has been set up for a woman who lost her mother and her fiancée on the same day she gave birth to a baby boy in Kalamazoo.
Last weekend, Emil Skokan III and Peggy Nichols were killed in a Comstock Township car crash while rushing to the hospital.
Crystal Matrau said it has been a difficult week.
“(It has been difficult) having to battle back and fourth grieving for the both of them and trying to be happy and excited for him,” Matrau said. “That’s what keeps me going, him.”
The mother and her and her newborn son, Jeremiah, are healthy after the birth.
