PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Investigators say two teenage girls were barreling down East Avenue at 103 mph moments before their vehicle crashed into a tree in Pennfield Township.
Calhoun County Sheriff Matt Saxton says the impact killed 16-year-old Sabrina Almaraz and her 17-year-old passenger, Kaleigh Woodman. They didn’t stand a chance of survival at that speed, Saxton said.
Both were reportedly on their way to a fast food restaurant at the end of school last Thursday.
