PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Well over 100 people turned out in a light rain to remember two teenage girls who died in a car crash last week in Pennfield Township.
Sabrina Almaraz and Kaleigh Woodman had just left Pennfield High School after classes Thurday when their car lost control on East Avenue and struck a tree.
Trevor Sisco knew both victims.
“Honestly, they were the kindest people you could meet,” Sisco said. “It’s so difficult.”
A memorial filled with crosses, flowers, teddy bears and other tributes has been set up near the crash site.
At the vigil late Sunday, mourners offered memories, said prayers, released balloons and lit candles for Almaraz and Woodman.
