ANTWERP TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Van Buren County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for the hit-and-run driver who stole a 19-year-old Ford Ranger pickup, wrecking the vehicle before disappearing into the night.
It was stolen from the 65000 block of 30th Street in Antwerp Township on Tuesday.
The unidentified driver was apparently traveling at a high rate of speed on County Road 354 later that night when the truck went out of control and ended up on its roof.
The thief fled the scene.
Deputies brought out a tracking dog, but the animal lost the scent. Anyone with information is asked to call the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office at (269) 657-2006.
