STURGIS (WKZO-AM) — Michigan State Police are attempting to track down a man who bought a 2003 Saab advertised on Craigslist with counterfeit money.
The seller, a person who lives on Klinger Lake Road near Sturgis in St. Joseph County, realized after the man drove away that he used counterfeit $20 and $100 bills to make the purchase.
Police should have a trail to follow if the title was signed over and the man attempts to register the car in Illinois or any other nearby state.
Troopers from the Marshall post are handling the investigation. They say the suspect is in his mid-20s, has a goatee and went by the name “Bo.”
