BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Michigan State Police and other agencies conducted simultaneous and coordinated raids at nine addresses in the Battle Creek area this week, which turned up a network of illegal indoor marijuana grow operations.
Investigators say the grow sites belonged to a local criminal organization. Many of them were homes in residential areas that had been remodeled specifically to marijuana production facilities.
Police have yet to make any arrests.
They have seized nearly 260 plants, 20 pounds of processed marijuana and $15,000 cash.
