BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A chicken pox outbreak has shuttered a preschool on Penn Street in Battle Creek.
SNAP Inc. Preschool and Child Care says it’s following a recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Officials are hoping to reopen the facility next Monday. It’s not clear how many children contracted the virus, but preschool representatives think it was spread before a scheduled closure over the Thanksgiving weekend.
