NEWBERG TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Cass County investigators say faulty wiring may be to blame for a house fire that killed an 87-year-old woman.
The body of Phillis Tucker was found inside the residence in the 61000 block of Lewis Lake Road after firefighters doused the flames late Sunday.
Tucker was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other occupants were able to escape the structure without serious injury. Four dogs also made it out of the home alive.
