LANSING (WKZO) — The total number of bills signed into law this year by Governor Snyder or Lieutenant Governor Calley now stands at 209,
Most notable among the latest he has just signed is a measure allowing firefighters trained and certified in other states to automatically be certified for employment in Michigan if their training adheres to national standards that all states observe.
Snyder also signed measures allowing CPL-licensed retired county corrections officers and certain state corrections officers to carry concealed weapons in no-carry zones.
Another new law will protect first responders from civil liability while volunteering to help out in emergencies.
