KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — Kalamazoo Public Safety has announced the death of Sgt. Lisa Marie Zuk, a 14-year-veteran of the Department who had been battling breast cancer for several years
. In an obituary supplied by the department they say: “Her infectious attitude and fighting spirit was her hallmark and everlasting gift to those that worked with and around her!”
Sgt. Zuk served as a Public Safety Officer, K-9 Handler, Field Training Officer, Recruiter, and a Sergeant in the Edison Neighborhood.
She was supplied a special Public Safety Cruiser with pink lettering to recognize her fight against the disease that would claim her life.
The Langeland Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Visitation will be held this Sunday from 1 to 4 and from 5 to 8 p.m.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, December 7th at 11 a.m.
