KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety says a 19-year-old had to be rushed to a hospital after wrapping his car around a wooden utility pole in a wreck on Oakland Drive near Lovell Street, just behind Waldo Stadium.
The driver lost control of his Acura on a hilly section of the roadway after 5 p.m. Sunday, swerving the driver’s side of the vehicle sideways into the pole.
The wreck forced a closure between Oliver and Lovell streets for about an hour.
The driver’s condition is not known.
