KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The Kalamazoo Wings will be donating over 1,000 stuffed animals to Bronson Children’s Hospital after the team’s “Teddy Bear Toss” promotion Sunday at Wings Event Center.
A wave of cuddly critters were chucked onto the ice moments after the Wings scored their first goal against the Toledo Walleye, which came in the second period off the stick of forward David Gilbert.
The Wings lost to the Walleye on Sunday 4-3.
